Hanging Rock State Park
Visit "the mountains away from the mountains" and choose your accommodations from cabins to campsites. Sauratown Mountain peaks such as Moores Knob, Hanging Rock, and Cook's Wall rise in sharp contrast to the surrounding Piedmont Plateau. Visitors can enjoy boating, camping, fishing, hiking, picnicking, rock climbing and swimming.

Three picnic shelters are available by reservation. Overnight opportunities include camping in one of the 73 family campground sites conveniently located near tow bathhouses, six family cabins available by advance reservation, and 8 primitive overnight group campsites.
